Even though mother nature just got the memo, we have all been mentally gearing up for summer and that means getting summer bod ready. Thankfully, these local establishments have your back.   !kws-healthy-hotspots-2 Goodvibes- 336 King St. W, Kitchener There's nothing more cleansing or refreshing than a big, cold-pressed green juice on a Tuesday after a long weekend... or any day for that matter. And Goodvibes in Kitchener is doing it right. They offer a large variety of cold-pressed juices, coffees, healthy meals and snacks which can be picked up in store or delivered. And, for this week only, they are a part of DYD! Enjoy 1/2 off your 2nd juice when you bring a friend... so bring a pal and get your juice on! Legacy Greens- 10 King St. E, Kitchener Discover Your Downtown is featuring another local business focused on bringing you the freshest produce (... in the cutest setting!). Legacy Greens specializes in local produce and offers many convenience options such as weekly produce subscriptions and custom gift baskets. Beginning June 21st, you can receive weekly packages of farm fresh, local vegetables and support local farmers while enjoying the best produce available! One lucky volunteer of our Condo Culture team will be sampling this early summer box so we will be sure to give you updates and meal tips. Visit legacygreensonline.com to learn more about produce box options. Thrive- 191 King St. S, Waterloo If you live Uptown and Kitchener is a bit of a trek, not to worry... Thrive Energy Lab has you covered. You would never guess by the taste that the entire menu is vegan but they've thought of everything! Cheesy quesadillas? Check. Peanut butter cups? Yep. Burgers, sandwiches and salads? Of course! On top of their mouthwatering menu, they also have fresh juices and smoothies in some of the most amazing flavours. Sangria smoothie on a hot summer's day? Yes please! Check them out in the Bauer Marketplace or on their instagram here. Kitchener Market- 300 King St. E, Kitchener

A list of healthy eating and grocery options would not be complete without the Kitchener Market. With the Farmer's Market every Saturday from 7am - 2pm, there are endless options for organic produce and locally sourced ingredients. Support your local farmers, buy fresh and try something new at the Kitchener Farmers Market.   !kws-healthy-hotspots-4 Grand River Rocks- 50 Borden Ave., Kitchener If you're an avid climber than you will know how amazing our local climbing gym is... If not, then be prepared for the amazing-ness that is GRR. As one of the largest climbing facilities in Ontario, the routes are consistently changing and challenging your abilities. They also offer classes, group lessons, yoga, bouldering and exercise equipment so you can change it up and keep pushing the limit! Queen Street Yoga- 44 Queen St. S, Kitchener Kitchener's community yoga studio, Queen Street Yoga, provides a tranquil and supportive atmosphere for your yoga practice, regardless of your level. Continuously providing workshops, community classes, themed classes and more, there is every opportunity to improve your yoga practice this summer. Are you a beginner to yoga or can't commit to a membership right now? QSY and the City of Kitchener are welcoming you to join them in Victoria Park every Wednesday and Sunday for free beginners yoga! !kws-healthy-hotspots-5Berlin- 45 King St. W, Kitchener Now we all know The Berlin for their amazing food and great atmosphere but wouldn't necessarily expect them to be on a list of healthy hotspots... Well that's all about to change with the announcement of their Morning Yoga and Breakfast Program. Starting June 2nd you can attend a refreshing 60- minute yoga class upstairs at the Berlin followed by a seasonal, healthy breakfast created by Chef Jonathan Gushue. Check out their website  for more information, options and pricing. Victoria Park Just like the Farmers Market, Victoria Park is one of Kitchener's gems that had to make the list! Whether you're trying to save some cash, want to enjoy the fresh air or are testing out your new wheels, Victoria Park is the perfect summer workout spot. Take a spin on the waterfront trails, rent a canoe and get those arms pumping or bring some friends for a park workout.   Now that summer is finally here, we can't wait to get out, get fit and support our local healthy hotspots. Hope to see you there!   Did we forget to mention your favourite local health spot? Let us know and tell us why you love it!
