As you’ve seen, every Friday we gather and share content that has anything and everything to do with condo living. Today we’re prompted to slow things down a notch and touch base on a topic that’s very dear to our hearts- giving back to our community.
It’s been said that giving back is amongst the most important and valuable things an individual can do, period. Why is that? By taking initiative to do good for others, it provides and instills a natural sense of accomplishment, which also helps us to develop a sense of pride and identity. It increases self-confidence, and the more we give, the happier we feel. All in all, our spirits are lifted as we help our neighbours and our community, which in turn helps our city, our province, our country and our planet.
This time of year is magical, because it gives us the opportunity to be someone’s Christmas miracle, and that within itself is the sweetest gift you can give. With that said, we wanted to share how you can get involved this holiday season! Our Waterloo, Kitchener and Hamilton locations are accepting non-perishable food items in support of our local food banks. To make things easier for you, we did some digging and gathered a short and specific list of items most urgently needed to support our local families:
“The holiday season is the quintessential time to think about ways to spread good cheer and help put food on the tables of those in need. Supporting food banking is the perfect way to participate in the spirit of the season.” -Food Banks Canada
The feeling you get when you give someone something to be happy about during the holidays will never be forgotten. Kindness is a beautiful thing, and we thank you in advance for supporting your community by spreading love, goodness and kindness to those in need.
Psst… 10 more days until Christmas!! To celebrate, we wanted to share one of our fave festive bevies with you to enjoy with your loved ones. (Because let’s be real, hosting holiday parties has already begun for many!) and instead of creating one drink at a time, make this big batch and allow guests to pour their own drinks… Less kitchen time, more quality time, yes!
Spice up your holidays with this citrus sangria called Jingle Juice. It is SO good. To access the full recipe and a list of ingredients, click here; https://bakedbree.com/jingle-juice-spice-up-your-holidays-week-3
Enjoy this bevy and enjoy this holiday season by truly making a difference and giving back to those in need. After all, we make a life by what we give. Have a fabulous Friday, folks!
